Experience · Serengeti · In the air
Drift above the Serengeti as the sun rises, close enough to the ground to hear hooves and see lions on the move, high enough to take in plains that seem to go on forever. Landing is followed by a full breakfast laid out in the bush.

Couples, photographers and special occasions
Balloon flights in the Serengeti launch at first light from sites in the central Seronera area, the southern plains around Ndutu during calving season and the north near the Mara River in crossing season, so we can match your flight to the wildlife of your travel month. Balloons carry a small group in a partitioned basket and drift with the wind, sometimes skimming the treetops, sometimes rising to several hundred metres for the wide view. From above you see the patterns of the landscape that are invisible from a vehicle: game trails, river lines, herds strung out across the grass. After landing, the crew raises a toast and serves a cooked breakfast at a table in the bush, and your guide is waiting to continue with a game drive back to camp. Flights depend on the weather and the pilot’s judgement, and children usually need to be at least seven.
