Bush Dinner Under the Stars
As the sun goes down, a table appears in the bush: lanterns in the trees, a crackling fire and a menu cooked in the open. It is one of the most memorable evenings of any safari, and a favourite for honeymoons and celebrations.

An evening in the wild
Most of our partner camps can set up a private bush dinner a short drive from camp, usually at a spot with a view: the edge of a kopje, a riverbank or an open plain. You arrive in time for sundowners as the light fades, then sit down to a dinner cooked over the fire by the camp team, often with local touches. Away from any town lights the stars are remarkable, and on clear nights the Milky Way stretches overhead. You will hear the bush come alive after dark, with hyenas calling and sometimes lions roaring in the distance. Your guide and camp staff stay with you throughout and drive you back to camp after dinner. Dinners depend on the weather and camp, and we arrange them in advance.
