Tarangire is one of the best places in Tanzania to see elephants, especially in the dry season when hundreds gather along the Tarangire River. The park’s giant baobabs, some of them many centuries old, make it one of the most photogenic landscapes in East Africa. Lion, giraffe, zebra, buffalo and a remarkable variety of birds are all regularly seen. With your own vehicle and guide you can spend as long as you like at every sighting.
