A night in the crater

Very few climbers ever see Kilimanjaro’s crater up close. On this expedition you approach via the scenic Lemosho route, giving you plenty of time to acclimatise, then climb to the crater rim and camp at about 5,700 m beside the Furtwangler Glacier. There is time to explore the Reusch Crater and its ash pit before a short walk to Uhuru Peak for sunrise. Sleeping this high carries extra altitude risk, so this trip is for fit, experienced hikers, and our guides monitor every climber closely.
