8 days · Tanzania · Mountain trek
Climb to Uhuru Peak, at 5,895 m the highest point in Africa, on the quieter and more scenic Lemosho Route. Eight days on the mountain give your body time to acclimatise, which greatly improves your chance of reaching the summit. No technical climbing skills needed, just good fitness and determination.

Kilimanjaro is the world’s tallest free-standing mountain and one of the most accessible of the great summits. The Lemosho Route approaches from the west through quiet rainforest, crosses the high Shira Plateau and joins the southern circuit beneath the Lava Tower and the Barranco Wall, offering some of the best scenery on the mountain. Its gradual profile and “climb high, sleep low” days make it one of the best routes for acclimatisation. Our mountain crews are experienced, well equipped and fairly paid, and our guides carry oxygen and first aid and monitor every climber twice a day.
