Family safaris succeed on pacing. We keep driving times short, schedule game drives for the cool, active hours of early morning and late afternoon, and leave the middle of the day for swimming, games and rest. Our guides are experienced with young travellers and carry field guides, binoculars and checklists so children can spot and tick off animals themselves. We choose family-friendly camps with connecting or family tents, flexible meal times and activities like junior ranger programmes, guided nature walks and visits to local schools or villages. Private vehicles mean you set the pace, and you never have to worry about disturbing other guests.
Itinerary

Day 1 · Arrive in Arusha
A family lodge with gardens and a pool, the perfect place to shake off the journey.
Days 2–3 · Tarangire
Big elephant herds, baobab trees and a gentle introduction to safari life, with a guided walk around camp.
Day 4 · Lake Manyara & village visit
Tree-climbing lions are a possibility in Manyara’s forest, followed by a visit to a local community and school.
Day 5 · Ngorongoro Crater
A half-day in the crater for the Big Five, then a picnic by the hippo pool.
Days 6–7 · The Serengeti
Lions on the kopjes, cheetah on the plains and evenings around the campfire.
Day 8 · Departure
Fly back to Arusha to connect with your flight home, or add a few nights on Zanzibar.
