Asili Trails
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: [date]
These terms apply to every trip booked with Asili Trails [registered company name and licence number]. Please read them, together with our Booking & Cancellation Policy, before you book.
1. Your booking
Your booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit and send you written confirmation. The person who books accepts these terms on behalf of everyone in the group.
2. Prices
Our quotes are in [US dollars] and are valid for [14 days]. Prices are based on the park fees, taxes and supplier rates in force when we quote. If a government changes park fees or taxes after you book, we may need to pass that change on, and we will show you the official notice.
What is included and excluded is listed in your itinerary. Usually international flights, visas, travel insurance, tips and personal expenses are not included.
3. Payment
A deposit of [30%] is due to confirm your booking. The balance is due [60 days] before you travel. For bookings made within [60 days] of travel, full payment is due on booking. Card payments may carry a processing fee of [x%].
4. Passports, visas and health
You are responsible for a passport valid for at least six months after you travel, any visas you need, and the vaccinations and health precautions recommended by your doctor. Some routes require a yellow fever certificate.
5. Travel insurance
Travel insurance covering medical treatment, emergency evacuation and cancellation is required for every traveller. Kilimanjaro climbers need cover for trekking up to 6,000 m.
6. Fitness and safety
Kilimanjaro, Ol Doinyo Lengai and gorilla trekking are physically demanding. Please tell us about any medical conditions before you book. Our guides may end a climb or activity if they believe continuing is unsafe, and their decision is final.
Wild animals are unpredictable. Always follow your guide’s instructions and park rules.
7. Changes we make
Sometimes we have to change an itinerary because of weather, road conditions, park closures or supplier problems. We will offer an alternative of similar standard. If we make a major change before you travel, you can accept it or cancel for a full refund of what you have paid us.
8. Our responsibility
We take care in choosing our suppliers and are responsible for delivering the services we have confirmed. We are not responsible for events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, epidemics, airline schedule changes or government action. Our liability is limited to the price of your trip, except where the law does not allow this.
9. Complaints
If something is not right during your trip, tell your guide or call us straight away so we can fix it. If it is still not resolved, email us within 30 days of your return.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
