The northern circuit is Tanzania’s classic safari route, and for good reason: within a few hours’ drive of Arusha you can reach three very different ecosystems. Tarangire is famous for its elephants and ancient baobabs. The Serengeti offers vast plains, big cats and, depending on the month, the Great Migration. The Ngorongoro Crater packs an extraordinary density of wildlife into a single volcanic caldera. Day 1 · Tarangire
Collected from Arusha in the morning for a game drive among Tarangire’s elephants and baobabs.
Days 2–3 · The Serengeti
Drive through the crater highlands into the Serengeti for two full days of game viewing.
Day 4 · Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the crater for a morning of Big Five viewing, then overnight in the highlands.
Day 5 · Return to Arusha
A relaxed drive back to Arusha or the airport, with a stop at a local market or craft centre.
